Uckfield Carnival 2019 Adults Fancy Dress and Procession

On Saturday night (September 7th) as ever the spectacular carnival procession moved around the town.

The Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society was supported by Bonfire societies from across Sussex, townspeople on floats as part of the tableaux, dancers and walking bands.

Huge crowds lined the streets on a warm night for the 192nd carnival and was particular poignant because of the ceremony held at the top of the High Street near the Cinque Ports Club and led by Father John from Holy Cross Church to mark mark the 75th anniversary of World War 2 D-Day landings, remembering those who took part and those who were lost.
