The 4th Weald on the Field Music, Food and Drink Festival took place yesterday on Luxford Field.
It was a free event with fun for all the family with local artisan crafts and food, street food and drink.
The first event four years ago was designed to bring residents into the town and High Street during major road works. It was so popular it became an annual event with more and more attending.
There was children’s entertainment and live music from local bands which kept the audience singing and dancing throughout the day.
The Music line-up was a Bagful of Hats, The Management Duo, Beth Ellwood and The Midnight Project.
The Children’s Entertainment was full on with Bouncy Castle, the circus show, followed by circus workshop skills, Sand Art, and a Silent disco in a beautiful bell tent, craft activities and facepainting.
It was estimated at between 4 and 5,000 people attended the event in perfect weather for such an event.
As a result many of the vendors sold out of food and drink and declared the day a big succees.
