One week to go! Weald on the Field serves up an entertainment extravaganza

The annual Weald on the Field event will take place on Luxford Field, Uckfield on Saturday 3 August from 11.00am until 7.00pm.

This fabulous event is fun for all the family with the farmers market, local artisan crafts and food, street food, and pop-up bars.

Add to that children’s entertainment and live music from local bands and you have a great day out for all the family.

Food and Drink

For a taste of some of the food available there will be Indian food from Amira’s Kitchen; potato cakes from The Hash Machine; Woodfired pizza from Pioppi Pizza; authentic Thai street food from Tiny Thai; Pork sliders, burgers and mouth-watering specials from Pig & Jacket; Poffertjes – little gluten free pancakes from Granny’s Kitchen; Waffles on a stick dipped in chocolate from Waffle On and afternoon tea and cake from Maisy the Vintage Caravan.

Wash it all down with Harvey’s Sussex real ale; cider from Bignose & Beardy; cocktails from Henny’s Vintage Caravan and English wine from Busi Jacobsohn and Beacon Down.

Fun for all the family

In addition to the food and drink there are numerous attractions to keep the children amused.  A Bouncy Castle; Jimmy the Juggling Jester – circus show at 1.30pm, followed by circus workshop skills; SandArt; Off the Wall Entertainment with their silent disco and craft activities, and Fayz facepainting.

Live Music

The live music begins at 12.30pm and should offer something for everyone. Local performers include A Bagful of Hats, The Management Duo, Beth Ellwood and The Midnight Project.

Free Parking

Along with the free parking in Luxfords car park there will also be free spaces at the station car park courtesy of APCOA and Network Rail.

Uckfield FM will be broadcasting live from the event from 10am to 2pm with Ryan Millns and Cat Sanders.
