Uckfield Lions Club were delighted to welcome Volunteers and Carers of Uckfield and surrounding areas to a Cream tea at Ridgewood Village Hall on Sunday afternoon.
The Cream tea was held in celebration of Uckfield Lions 50 years of serving the community of Uckfield and surrounding areas, and was attended by over 50 volunteers and carers from around the area.
Volunteer groups included, Macmiilian cancer support, Uckfield Hospital league of friends, Uckfield Performance ensemble, Phab, First Responders and local groups, Carers included representatives from the Bevan Trust and Care for the Carers group.
Graham Baldwin welcomed Mayor of Uckfield Spike Mayhew and deputy Jackie Love then went on to thank Volunteers’ and Carers for all their hard work in providing help in the community to those who need it most both young and old alike .
In response Mayor Spike Mayhew echoed Graham’s words and also said all the groups, and Uckfield Lions made Uckfield such a good Town to live in.
