Have you ever played Stoolball? Do you know what Stoolball is? Fancy giving it a go?
It is planned to hold a “fun” session at Uckfield Rugby Club on Thursday 15th August 2019 from 7pm – 8.30pm.
It’s all about fun, no cost involved. Doesn’t matter what age you are, or even if you cannot run. This is all about meeting people and having a giggle.
Jerry Miller from the Uckfield Rugby Club told Uckfield FM:
‘A few clubs in the area have recently folded, which is a shame, however it means we can borrow their equipment and some ex players have kindly offered to attend and teach us how to play.
‘If there is enough interest and people enjoy playing we can arrange to meet up regularly, continue as a social event, or even enter a league next year. Ladies, men’s or mixed.
‘We already have a real mix of people interested in coming, from 60+ year olds that have had hip replacements, to teenagers that are super fit. As mentioned before, it’s about having fun, and we can see where we go with it’
‘I should add that this is for anyone – not just rugby people’
The clubhouse will be open, so you are more than welcome to watch from the balcony, and there is enough space at the club for young children to run around whilst you play.
