Football – AFC Uckfield Town win 7-1 in their last friendly before new season

AFC Uckfield Town continued their impressive pre-season friendly matches with a 7-1 win over St Francis Rangers in Haywards Heath.

This follows their 5-0 win against the A26 derby friends of Crowborough AFC with Callum Smith scoring 4 with a long range shot and Marcus Alexander with the other one.

Last week the team came out 4-2 winners over Hollington Lions FC.

An away pre-season friendly against AFC Croydon Athletic saw the team win 1-0.

The first friendly game against Southwick, the team won 9-0 with goals from Callum Smith (4), Ellis Cormack (2), Dee Ojojie, and skipper Richie Welch.

A total of 26 goals in the seasons warm ups!

Their first league match of the season kicks off at the Oaks next Saturday at 3pm when they face Pagham FC.

A week later on the 10th August the team travels to Welling Town FC for the first game in this seasons Emirates FA Cup.

Last season was the ‘Uckers’ most successful season and Uckfield FM wishes them luck in the forthcoming season.
