Kings Church Uckfield held its annual fun day at the Uckfield Civic Centre on Saturday.
They do this every Christmas and Easter to bless the young families in our community. There was a whole range of different activities and the puppets returned, not to do a ‘show’ but this time to host a story time for the children.
All of the activities were free, as a way of showing God’s generous heart of compassion for the town, and included face painting, craft making of crowns, decorated biscuits and Easter presents. The Easter Bible story was told, with the King’s puppets entertaining the children as the narrator read the message of Easter.
As always, the free bouncy castles allowed the children to use up their extra energy while the parents could relax with a coffee, biscuit and a chat. And of course, as it is Easter, everyone went home with an Easter egg!
