Uckfield Sports Review

For the second time in five days, AFC Uckfield Town play hosts to Peacehaven and Telscombe.

After their three-one win in the Peter Bentley Cup on Tuesday night, Uckfield will be looking to make it back-to-back victories tomorrow afternoon, when the two teams clash in a Southern Combination League fixture.  Kick-off at the Oaks is at 3 pm.

In the Mid Sussex League, Buxted take on local rivals AFC Uckfield Town Reserves at the Victoria Pleasure Ground.  Fletching go to Haywards Heath-based Wisdom Sports, whilst Maresfield visit Willingdon’s third team.  Meanwhile, in cup matches, Nutley entertain Ridgewood, and Newick are away at Ashurst Wood’s third team.

After their FA Trophy win last weekend, Lewes return to league action tomorrow, as they host Haringey Borough in the Bostik Premier Division.

And there’s no game this week for Brighton and Hove Albion because of the international break.

In rugby union, Uckfield will be aiming to maintain their impressive unbeaten record, as they welcome Seaford to Hempstead Fields.  Kick-off there is at half past two.

Elsewhere in local rugby, Newick are away to Shoreham.
