Uckfield welcomed Eastbourne to Hempstead Fields for the last league game before the Division splits and the top four play each other and the bottom four play each other.
The pitch was in great condition and both teams were determined to play an open running game, it was Eastbourne who were to start the sharper and with some quick passes were in for the first try.
Once again Uckfield would have to come from behind but they have shown recently a determination and drive, joint man of the match (MOM) Charlie Buckland accurate this week with the boot was to get a penalty and convert a M Evans try.
Uckfield in front with there tails up were to get another quick try with joint MOM Harry Harper Dowe touching down under the posts after great work at the breakdown by M Evans. Lee Evans was to show a turn of pace for his age creating space and then with pin point accuracy of the left foot putting Zak Mellett in for a try, converted.
Eastbourne scored a very good second try from the line out set piece just before half time 24-10 and still an open game.
The second half was even affair with Uckfield scoring two tries through Greg Chappell and Ian Paige Mitchell to Eastbourne’s one but Eastbourne will rue some missed passed and knock-ons which could have changed the game.
Uckfield will be delighted with another good win five on the trot and moving them to third in the division and looking forward to the second half of the season.
The score was 34-15.
