A teenage girl was attacked and robbed in Uckfield on Saturday afternoon (September 8).
A Sussex Police statement said, the girl had been walking along Mill Lane shortly before 2pm and stopped to talk to a group of youths, some of whom she knew. The hood of her coat was ripped off and thrown in the river and she was then confronted a short distance away by one of them who threatened her, robbing her of cash.
A 14-year-old boy from Uckfield was arrested a short time later on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation.
He was also charged with harassment, being in breach of a restraining order and was bailed to appear at Hastings Youth Court on September 24.
