Uckfield Lions Celebrate 49 years serving the community

District Governor Jackie Robinson commended the Uckfield Lions on the work they carry out.

Uckfield Lions Celebrated 49 years of serving the area of Uckfield & surrounding areas with their Charter Lunch at Barnsgate Manor on Sunday 25 February.

Around 80 guests & members attended the lunch, including District Governor Jackie Robinson & Uckfield Mayor Cllr Louise Eastwood.

Jackie presented a long service awards to Lion David Egginton, for 30 years service.

The District Governor commended Uckfield Lions on all the work they do in the community & also thanked them for helping with the District Convention that was held recently at East Sussex National.

Lion Lynne Ireland was presented a long service award for 25 years.

Cllr Louise Eastwood in also thanking Uckfield Lions, presented Lion President Keith Mates with a thank you letter from the Queen which thanked Cllr Eastwood & Uckfield Lions for all their hard work in the community.
