Society Chair Jackie Love told Uckfield FM:

‘The street raised £3900. Thank you to everyone that donated in our buckets and supported the society and carnival’

‘A massive thank you to my Society members that have worked so hard over the weekend and over the last year, you are all so very special to me and this town. Thank you to everyone that worked with us behind the scenes, without you we would not be able to put on such a huge FREE event.
To those of you that took part, made things, dressed up, walked and drove in procession, thank you’
‘To those of you that lined both procession routes and cheered all those that took part. You blew us away with your support, it was very emotional to walk past you all.’‘To Brighter Uckfield, thank you so much for your Stirling work to ensure our town looked so smart and tidy this morning’

‘The list of thanks goes on and on.. we could be reading this for another half an hour so to name just a few more, Stevens Funfair, Brad Mitchell, the owners of the railway station car park…. we will thank everyone somehow somewhere when we see you.’

She concluded ‘Long may this tradition in Uckfield Keep going and bringing us all together, kind regards from Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival society, we will keep burning for charity’
