Uckfield Art Show and sale of work with a diverse range of art work took place on Saturday at the Luxford Centre.
The Uckfield Art Group’s annual November exhibition had a theme of “Autumn” this year. Members contributed an autumn painting to an area of the show which glowed with rich colours of turning leaves, hedgehogs, otters and deer.
Refreshments as usual were available so visitors could enjoy a slice of home-made cake while surrounded by the beautiful art work. Altogether there were more than 160 original pieces of artwork, from 18 of the members, as well as many prints, greeting cards, decorated glassware, felted flower brooches and hair clips as well as adorable felted gnomes.
Children, and some adults, enjoyed the craft table where they could make leaf prints, silhouettes and other masterpieces.
Secretary, Annie Mills said ‘I would like to say a big thank you to all art group members who arrived early to help prepare and stayed later to take down the whole exhibition. The Uckfield Art Group is lucky to have such dedicated and friendly members.
