The value of local community radio

Uckfield FM were very pleased to receive this email highlighting the value of local community radio for Uckfield.

On behalf of all the members at Uckfield Model Railway Club I wanted to write and sincerely thank you for your assistance in the approach to, and during, our recent exhibition.

I’m pleased to report that the attendance this year was excellent and I’m sure that your coverage via interview, outside broadcast, online and the casual mentions during programming was a contributory factor to the show’s success.

It does go to show the value of local broadcasting.

Uckfield FM publishes events FREE* in its whats on and events guide on its website and is regularly read out by presenters.  Organisers if they wish are invited into the studio to talk and promote the event.

Chairman Mike Skinner said ‘We are proud to support all organisations who provide a charitable service to the town, organisations who support the town in anyway with a charitable element and other organisations in the area.   All our listing are FREE to post on the whats on/events guide which is not only only displayed on our website but also, the Uckfield Volunteer Centre’s site and on display at Freedom Leisure’

‘We reach thousands of local people weekly via the radio, our website, and the town’s social media and this comment from the Uckfield Model Club is a true testament to how valuable a local community radio station is to a town’
