Year 5 children from St Philip’s Catholic Primary School Uckfield enjoyed a World War II day exploring activities related to their topic “We’ll Meet again.”
The children took part in a range of activities to bring the era to life. Children pretended to be evacuees for the day, got to extinguish incendiary fires and learnt how to crack Morse Code.
Headteacher, Mrs Sanchez said, “We really believe in bringing learning to life for our children at St Philip’s . The children have had a wonderful day immersing themselves in the life of children in 1940’s Britain.”
