Rocks Park School’s annual Decorations Day took place on Monday 3rd December.
The children were joined by parents and grandparents to spend the whole day making Christmas Decorations.
There was everything from hand printed wreaths, CD snowman and gingerbread men puppets to owl pine cone wreaths, sparkly baubles and 3D stars. Year 6 children made decorations themed to their topic of WW2, making sure that they used only items that would have been available during the war – brown paper, string, wool etc.
Each class also made a decoration for the Rocks Park tree at Holy Cross Church festival of trees. The theme this year is the Natural Landscape and so the children were encouraged to use twigs, leaves and fauna from the school’s beautiful grounds.
