This week Tesco Uckfield has partnered with young volunteers from the National Citizens Service to help promote and collect food donations for the Uckfield Food Bank.
The total raised by the group for the Foodbank was 550KG of produce.
They have also completed their mural as seen below.
NCS is a government run scheme which allows young people between 15 to 17 years old learn new skills and support their local communities. The young volunteers will be in store from Monday 6th August to Thursday 9th busking, collecting donations and raising awareness for the local food bank.
Tesco Community Champion Robert Muggeridge said “Tesco has always had a close relationship with the foodbank, so when we were approached by NCS it seemed like a great opportunity to support both the foodbank and these young people.”
