First solo show for local photographer

Local photographic artist Natalie Banton is staging her debut show at Uckfield’s Bridge Cottage from Friday 7th September to Sunday 9th September.

Inspired by a variety of scenery, and experimenting with conventional cameras as well as iPhoneography, Natalie’s work features landscapes and other nature inspired images (as well as portraiture). A dedicated self-taught photographer, Natalie has spent many happy hours rambling the countryside, camera in hand, capturing the essence of natural environments, and discovering the simplicity of de-stressing our busy 21st century lives, by focusing on and documenting the beauty of nature all around us.

Says Natalie: “I hope that by sharing my photography with people, I can promote the therapeutic qualities of nature, and inspire people to embrace nature and explore their own creativity.“

A background in Art & Design has given Natalie a strong understanding of form, texture and composition, and a good eye for seeking out photographic opportunities. When not out and about with her camera, she is happy to take on a variety of commissions.

The Preview evening (Friday 7th September) is open to all, and will be held downstairs at Bridge Cottage from 6-9pm. Refreshments are available, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist and discuss her work with her.

Examples of Natalie’s work can be viewed on, and interested followers can find her on Facebook (@nataliciousart) and Instagram (@natalie_banton).

The free exhibition will remain open to the public on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September, when Bridge Cottage will be open from 10am until 4pm. There will be framed and mounted prints of the work available to purchase.
