‘Fun In The Sun’ turned into ‘Singing in the Rain’ for theatre group

“Fun In The Sun” became singing in the rain, for Uckfield Theatre Guild Youth on Sunday.

UTGY offered a Coconut Shy, Hook a Duck, Welly-Whanging and other traditional fete games.

Uckfield’s Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Spike Mayhew and Cllr Jackie Love attended the fete which was organised by Kirstie Gladman, Kiri Standing and Harry Freeman for Uckfield Theatre Guild Youth, and supported by French’s Fancy Dress, and Lewes Youth Theatre. .

Fun In The Sun (Rain) featured live music from UTG members Daniel Card and Charlie Damazer, as well as Lucy & Megan from Stagecoach Tunbridge Wells, and band Smiling’s My Favourite.

Supporters braved the weather, to play games and dance in the rain, raising money for UTGY.

Uckfield Theatre Guild’s next production will be Peter Pan, in April 2019.

Rehearsals will be starting soon and UTGY will also be part of the afternoon procession of Uckfield Carnival, and will join UTG in the evening procession on Saturday 1st September.
