The Christmas lights are up in the High Street and many of the shops have Christmas orientated displays so the big day is less than a month away.
The Late Night Shopping committee said “We thank Network Rail and Apcoa parking for making the Station car park free of charge again this year between 5pm and 10pm. There will also be free parking all evening in the Bell Walk Car Park”
“We will be closing Civic Approach at 4pm and the main High Street at 5:30pm, Late Night Shopping finishes at 9pm, the High Street will reopen by 10pm once the road has been cleared of stalls”
But before that on Friday December 7 there is the traditional Uckfield Late Night Shopping and the now famous not to be missed Holy Cross Christmas Tree Festival.

Every year local primary school children look forward to performing on the ‘Uckfield FM Children’s Stage’ during the evening at ‘Town Square’ in the High Street.

7:30pm – Blackboys C of E Primary School
7:50pm – East Hoathly and Chiddingly Primary School
8:10pm – Harlands Primary School
The whole event will be broadcast live across Uckfield on 105FM and across the world on the internet.
The Holy Cross Christmas Tree Festival will take place from the 7th to the 9th December and all trees have now been allocated. More details on this nearer the time.
