Hayley Brown, the “Events and Database Manager” for the Ellenor Charity came in to chat to Jacqui recently.
“Ellenor” has been in existence for over 40 years, and supports around 2,500 people each year, patients and families. They are the only charity in Kent that provides hospice care for people of all ages – babies, children and adults – and their families, and are also the first children’s hospice at home service in the UK and the only charity in Kent to provide around the clock care for terminally ill children at the end of life in the sanctuary of their own home.
The Kent based charity are committed to providing quality care and support to both children and adults in the hospice and in the home, while enhancing comfort, dignity, choice and quality of life. The hospice supports patients for the duration of their illness, continuing on with the surviving family with bereavement support.
“Ellenor” serves members of the community who have a life limiting or terminal illness with no fee for any services. More information is available on their website – www.ellenor.org
