12,000 Trees and Hedgerow plants to help the risk of flooding

Matt Turley  works for the Sussex Flow Initiative which is a Sussex Wildlife Trust project in partnership with the Woodland Trust and Environment Agency.

12,000 trees and hedgerow plants have been planted by volunteers at the Sussex Horse Rescue Santuary,

They work throughout the Ouse catchment delivering Natural Flood Management (NFM). Not only does NFM help to reduce flooding in our towns and villages, it also provides multiple other benefits including creating habitat and supporting biodiversity.
