AFC Uckfield Town seeking support

Our senior local football team AFC Uckfield Town are currently looking for help and support in a number of ways.

Firstly, they are looking to recruit new committee members to help move the club forward and if anyone interested they are asked to contact Graham Sullivan at

The club are also on the lookout for assistance with the bar and catering facilities on first-team match days.

And there are also still opportunities for match sponsorship for the remainder of the season.

For just £50, the sponsoring company/individual will have their name and advert in the full colour match day programme, entry to the match, half-time hospitality and presentation of ‘Man of the Match’ award.

Again, please contact Graham Sullivan for more information.

On the pitch, the first team has been badly affected by the weather recently, with only three games played so far in 2017. The latest of these was a fine 3-1 win at Broadbridge Heath, with new signings Tom Bold from Three Bridges and Bayley Colbran from Crowborough making a positive impact.

There are several attractive home fixtures scheduled for the coming weeks. On February 18th, there is a local derby with title-chasing Haywards Heath. On March 4th, the visitors are Peacehaven and Telscombe, followed by a visit from Wick on March 18th. And then on March 25th, Town entertain the current Southern Combination League leaders Shoreham.

All spectators are very welcome to the Oaks on Eastbourne Road, Uckfield. Admission for adults is £6, with £3 for Senior Citizens, and children Under 18 are free. The bar is always open on match days for tea and coffee, alcoholic and soft drinks. New fans are always made very welcome. So, please come along and support your local club.
