Freedom Leisure first Sports for All Day

Freedom Leisure first Sports for All Day
and supported by Active Uckfield
Saturday April 1st 11.00am – 3.00pm

Freedom Leisure are pleased to invite local residents to join them for their first “Sports for All Day” on Saturday, April 1st, which is being supported by “Active Uckfield”.

Turn up, have a go yourself, bring family or friends. All activities except swimming are free and there will be coaches around to help us get some exercise – which most of us need more of, and also have some fun.

As it’s the start of Easter school holidays it also means most parents will be looking for entertainment for the children and that’s just what sports should be.
Football and Rugby will take place outside on the All Weather Pitch (remember you MUST have studded football boots, not trainers or “blades”).

Inside we expect to have chances for people to have a go at stoolball, cricket, judo, karate, table tennis, mini tennis, badminton, netball, trampolining and squash. Gym demo’s will also go on so you can see what exercise options there are there as not everyone knows that there’s a lot of gym equipment there.

This could be important for people who need to start exercising for health reasons although obviously that should be discussed at your GP’s first. Older age people in Uckfield have seen netball start and we’ve been looking for more adults for 5-aside football so many options are available in town – it’s just a question of getting started and then keeping at it!

Our town council like the doctors knows that keeping fit is good for mental and physical wellbeing and now has a policy to support efforts towards this and our local sportsmen are giving their time so people coming can enjoy themselves.
It’s free, local and only for a few hours so please join us, make the most of it and enjoy yourself.
For information about any of the above or anything “sports related” in Uckfield that you want help with please ring Jeremy on 07876 275031 or e-mail as Active Uckfield are keen to help.
