Brighter Uckfield Garden Comp Awards

Uckfield’s Annual Garden Competition, organised and run by the Brighter Uckfield Volunteer Group, had a bumper entry this year, it being the 11th year since it was first set up by Beryl Venables.

Around 50 people attended the trophy winners ceremony in the Civic Centre Council Chamber. A brief summary of the judge’s report on each winner’s garden was read out, and the trophies and certificates were handed out by the Group’s Chairman, Ian Smith.

Competitors had an opportunity to ‘swap notes’ over a cup of coffee and biscuits, and also took away with them photographs of their garden taken by the judge, Dee Russell.
