Later this year, we’ll be holding the first ever

Uckfield FM Community Awards

We recognise the amazing work and commitment many people in our local community provide and we are excited to help highlight some of those individuals through these awards.

The 11 awards categories are listed below, along with the nomination form.

Nominations are open until 31 August 2017.

The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 11 November at East Sussex National – tickets are on sale now.

Volunteer of the Year Award
Nominations for the person who has made a significant impact through voluntarily giving their time freely and selflessly to others in the community.

Charity Fundraiser of the Year Award
The person who has been the most innovative and enthusiastic whilst working to raise awareness and funds for their charity – this will not necessarily be the most money raised.
Sports Person of the Year Award
This award is for an individual from the local sporting scene who has achieved or made an impact in their sport.

Young Person of the Year Award
For the young person (Under 18) who has shown bravery in overcoming adversity or who has excelled and demonstrates a huge personal achievement.

Teacher of the Year Award
Nominations for a Teacher who inspires pupils through their enthusiasm and commitment and is always willing to go the extra mile.
Carer of the Year
Person who has given up their time to look after someone else and in doing so has made sacrifices to care for and improve someone’s life.

Community Green Award
Open to any local group, school or individual that has made a significant impact on the improvement of the local environment and raised the profile of green issues / projects.
Give Back to the Community Award
Open to all business within the area who make a difference by working with and giving back to the local community / local charities.

Parent/Guardian of the Year
Parent or guardian who has made huge sacrifices for their child / children, overcoming adversity. This is open to nominations for Grandparents too.
Charity of the Year
The Charity which has made significant differences to the community with its drive and determination and commitment to its cause.

Emergency Services Person of the Year
The person who has selflessly gone beyond the call of duty through their work. This award is open to any person in the Emergency Services, First Response Units, Paramedics or other organisations which respond to incidents.
